what sort of hotel doesn’t know what a non-smoking room is? A two star hole? I’ve been to a few not so fancy hotels in Paris and never got this problem. Going to Paris next week for an apartment swap, staying 3 weeks, wheee!
Reminds me of the time at a restaurant when we asked to be seated in the non-smoking section. The host picked up a small “no smoking” sign and sat it on the table he lead us to.We left.

We once ordered a non-smoking room and got smoking instead..the smell is disgusting!!!
