Whew, I’m so relieved that the Chief is OK!

Thank You Team Tracy!This just keeps getting better and better!

Not only was Teevo a rat and a snitch. He was a lousy shot as well. (Thank God!)

I am relieved to see and hear that Chief Patton received no more serious wound than a graze! And his punnish reference to the presumed fate of Teevo (even if not accurate—didn’t the muerte vine chow down on Teevo?) shows that he still has a strong sense of humor. But I would like a more complete accounting of the final results of the shoot-out at Panda’s!

I quite like the Mayor’s screen saver.

I’ve been reading DT since the Brain story back in the early 1970’s and I have to say that this is just as cool, just as much fun as Gould.

Just shows Chief Patton is a tough old bird. If I ever had a “grazing scalp wound” from a gunshot, I’d still be pretty freaked out! Thanks Team Tracy for keeping him around.

Phew! For a second I was wondering if the gal/paramedic? was placing a hairpiece back on the chief. “I’m ok, Mayor! He just winged my rug!” Hot cha cha!

is the mayor a new character or has she been seen before? good to see pat is ok, and is that officer tending to him the receptionist who is always calling them up? (what was her name again?) scott the badger… i wonder if the mayor’s screensaver has any implications as to an involvement with the panda talent agency, or if it is a “newsfeed headline” that is on her computer. i’m of a mind to think that the mr crime story is officially under wraps and that one or two loose ends need to be tied up before launching into the new storyline (ex: where’s blaze, did tracy and company search for teevo..or did they even KNOW he was there?!?!) i am almost fearful of the inevitable courtroom scene with mr kleen defending the apprehended criminals.. unless of course kleen himself ends u p in the pokey! great story, great action, EXEMPLARY artwork, and nice “epilogues” all around!

A mole leaking to the press and a mole leaking to the crime syndicate are two very different things. Is there some reason the chief is not leveling with the Mayor?

Boy Teevo certainly was a lousy shot but then Pat wasn’t such a great one in that face off either. .I don’t think that’s a Panda screensaver. The Mayor is learning about what’s going on via news sources online and on two televisions. Maybe what we’re seeing is her visiting Panda’s website.

Good to see Pat’s okay. I don’t think it’s so much that Teevo was a bad shot, as Pat was fighting with him. It doesn’t get much closer than a scalp wound.

OK Mike…… honeymoon is over! Tell us why the panda pic is on the Mayor’s screen. It seems unlikely that Panda’s logo would be in the news. Also, I see why Teevo and Pat were never on the Police Sharpshooters’ Team. Two pistols at point blank range and they both missed!

If all this is happening in a " thinly veiled " version of Chicago, I’ve been caught on the ’ wrong foot ’ again ;-)Hmm ! A Female Mayor ? Thought it might be a ’ thinly veiled ’ version of Rahm Emanuel ? ;-)

Perhaps Mayor Armstrong is a reference to our Bread and Circuses mayor, Jane Byrne. With a few blonde tips in her hair, Mayor Armstrong could pass for Mayor Byrne.

Mike and Joe are doing an excellent job and I agree – this is fun!

Boy, some people just love to kvetch

Teevos’ bullet couldn’t part the Chiefs hair

Mainly because he doesn’t have any up there

Some question how they both could have missed

Standing three feet away with their guns in their fist

Teevos’ shot was one of desperation

Patton on the other hand showed some hesitation

The nano second that he did wait

Caused him to take a slug to the his pate

Good thing his skull in thick and not so thin

It caused the bullet to just break the skin

And out of the past they did drag

An old fashion doctors bag

I wonder if the chief is fated

To be treated with stuff that is outdated?

Perhaps some snake oil or Carters little pills

Will be prescribed for his ills

With bandages wrapped like a turban

The Chief relaxes with some Bourbon

“Retirement” he thinks “is looking good”

“You know I really should”

But he is like an old war horse

He will remain and stay the course.

There could be two reasons for the Panda logo in the b.g. of panel 1: (1) the mayor was looking at coverage of the shootout, and the Panda logo might be flashed on the screen; (2) a more sinister tie. Doubt it’s (2).

The may reminds me of Angela Merkel!
