I wear two different grey tank tops, two flannels and two pairs of shorts or jeans everyday. Got plenty of money for more clothes…but I’d rather save it for a future.
Miles: “It’s not that red is my favorite color, but that star is my favorite shape. Fortunately, the universe contains far fewer shapes than colors, so the choice is easier.”
I have 8 black work shirts with two pockets plus 8 black henley shirts with a pocket for undershirts and about 4 pairs of black cargo pants and two cargo shorts. My whole wardrobe.
Whenever I work on a design or a watercolor painting, I use colors that I feel express the message and mood the best. As an art teacher, I encourage students to do the same to broaden their creative thinking.
My favorite color has always been blue. My mom would get angry when we went shopping for school clothes because I would always pick out blue things. I’m so glad someone invented blue jeans. My family knows to keep things casual because I’m showing up in blue jeans.
Having the children announce their favorite color is often just an opening for a topic to be covered. No one is going to make a big deal about it. Still, I did know someone who said…" _____ " was their favorite color but when they could choose a color for something they were buying they’d pick " ……………… "
Green. Somewhere between the green of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Philadelphia Eagles, but closer to the Riders as I am not a fan of the Eagles. And the double blues of the Toronto Argonauts and the double blues of the Seattle Kracken but not as much as the green.
Kids will laugh when someone is struggling to say something for fear of saying the wrong thing. They may not understand what a trauma reaction is but it wouldn’t hurt to educate them about it.
I’ve always liked bright colors. When I was growing up, I liked the reds and purples. Then I became an adult, and a lot of places I worked had uniforms, usually blue, or a darker color, but outside of work, I had my brighter colors. Then I became a manager at a restaurant, and they allowed me to wear any color dress shirt!!! Here came the bright pink, green apple, bright purple, bright blue! One day, my boss said something about toning it down a bit, so I wore a black dress shirt the following day.
Kid, I’ve changed my favorite color so much I can’t even be sure now what my favorite is. I think I want to say when I was little, my favorite was blue because I always wanted the blue game pieces when playing games like Sorry, Candyland or the Happy Little Train. Later, it was pink. Then it became purple. Then it became green (kelly green or darker). Now I say it’s teal green, but then when buying things, it seems I want purple. Things like shirts, my purse and my Nook case are all purple. But I’d like to get a dark green car. Just can’t seem to find a GM car in that color. But my real favorite? The complete rainbow. By that I mean NOT a rainbow that has the prettiest color in it removed (indigo). It needs all seven colors.

Einstein wore the same combination every day. It saved him mental space not to have to pick insignificant things like clothes out every day.

Today’s strip may be a comment on those misguided school boards that are asking pre-pubescent children to choose their favourite gender.

Miles better never join the crew of Enterprise. Or the Federation forces in general.

Poor Mrs. McNutt. Imagine teaching a class of elementary schoolers with a name like that. There was a Mr. Butz at my primary school.
