How subtly, quietly, carefully, does Tom Bats bring Funky Winkerbean banshee-shrieking into this strip. Crank lovers: WE TOLD YOU! THERE IS NO CRANKSHAFT, ONLY ZUUL

I still don’t get all the animosity towards this strip. I’m not a long-time reader but I enjoy the witticism and the artwork. It seems that anyone who dares to say something positive gets called names like “Crank lover”. That’s not right.

I thought things were getting a little Funky.

Crazy Harry?

There have been several strips over the years I have stopped reading either because they were repetitive (Hagar), taken a dark turn (Sally Forth) or were simply not funny (Fred Bassett). I would skip them in the newspaper, or once I got on GC I would delete them. Cannot understand folks who dislike a strip so much they need to offer scathing commentary but continue to read it every day. Seems like a cry for attention - or help.

Besides the fact that he’s apparently controlling this drone with his mind, and nobody noticed it buzzing about them for the last hour…he’s live streaming it on the internet? Where? How would anyone know this is being livestreamed on (insert random website)? Unless he has a Pizza Box Monster Facebook page with thousands of followers???

Love it or hate it. Bash it or praise it. We all have that right. Let’s leave the personal insults off the comment page. There is so much more to worry about. This is small potatoes. Personally, I enjoy the bantering. It’s often clever and fun to read.

We can flag the really nasty comments, the guidelines on comments state that nasty comments or name calling are not allowed.
