Panel #1: Testicle Chin is not answering the question Horn Hair asked yesterday. And he seems to know a lot more about AWACS capacities than you can learn from globalsecurity.org, fas.org and other reliable sources.
Horn Hair can’t get one of her flunkies to answer a simple question. How did she get the Chief’s job?
Panel #2: Time drags when you ain’t having fun. Speaking of drags, what are the boys wearing today?
Panel #3: “One thing?” Froggy, you really underestimate Thivk’s ability to overlook things.
On Sunday, Feb 6th, Sam gave his good news. The AWACS plane from Brett Air Force base said if Tracy has his wrist Geenee on, they can pin point his location.
Jumping ahead to Friday, Feb 10th, Lizz says:
Sam, we can’t even call out.
How will we ever contact the AWACS plane to search for Tracy.
So, how did Sam find out about the AWACS plane and how did he talk to the air force to look for Dick. Remember, all communications are down.
Also, Sam told Liz on Sunday about the AWACS plane and that they would be able to find Tracy if he has his wrist Geenee on.
On Friday, Liz doesn.t remember this.
Plus, Liz says they can’t call out, but how did she know about AWACS plane if there is no communication.
Now Mordred has told Tracy that he is missing something Big.
Has Dick forgotten that Monday is Valentine’s Day???
Comics Kingdom Viewer Thursday night posted the strips for next week.
Another week of torture for the readers.
Maybe if you smoked some weed while reading this story, it might help to make sense of it.
I think that’s a new picture of the Camelot Granary in panel #3. Of course it’s hard to tell with the exciting dialog balloons in the way, but the number of windows and shape of the tree are different this time.
I don’t know how many times Lazy Locher has shown the granary from the same perspective. What did he do, set up a shoebox and candle on a table as guides, then do several rough sketches of “Storm with Tree and Building?”
Meanwhile look at the “wave” at the base of the “tree.” Same to you, Locher!
Overlooking something big? OK, I hazard a guess that it has something to do with yesterday’s panels where— I know you’re not going to believe this— Thick and Mordred are standing in water again.
OldTracy said, less than a geologic epoch ago: “I can’t wait for tomorrow’s strip when they will have to summarize all of the action from this week into only 7 panels.”
Summarizing all the action from this week… check. Now, what are Locher and Brozman going to do with the remaining six panels?
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: if most of you are just going to gripe about this strip, WHY DO YOU KEEP READING IT?!
Seriously, this is a comic strip for ENTERTAINMENT purposes. If you’re looking for perfection, fine art and epic literature, go to a museum or pick up Tolstoy.
—————————————————————————
We keep reading it in hopes that it will make sense and entertain us. We are not looking for perfection, just something that makes sense with a decent story line. If you are entertained by this strip than you have some serious problems. You don/t have to read our comments, so enough already.
But seriously, an epic story of forbidden love complete with bondage & gimp masks and set in a Victorian granary with violent storm surges mirroring the passions within - How can I NOT read this every day? (I was going to go with italics for the word “not,” but I went with all caps instead as a sort of tip of the ENTERTAINMENT hat.)
Alarm! The Carping Magpie Chorus is being taken to task
No longer in our self righteousness will we be allowed to bask
Voices tell us we are in the wrong
For singing our doleful song
Young whippersnappers they must be
For the glory days they did not see
We who daily gather here
To hoot and holler and maybe jeer
Have grown long in the tooth with this strip
So to us it has been a long strange trip
Entertainment is something that we all seek
But that value now has become exceedingly weak
Even on a child’s scale
This strip would surely pale
This arc is particularly corrupt
Being padded and shored up
By petty dialogue and a feeble plot
It’s nothing more than a bunch of tommyrot
So to those who snarl and nip at our heels
I sincerely doubt you know how we feels
To watch a once great detective
Become so bloody ineffective.
Great installment yesterday BB6, and thank you BillT and woodworker318.
Thanks WW you’re spot-on. the faithful group of commentators here are the only thing that makes this strip bearable and entertaining. yes it’s perverse but perhaps in a small way our snarking helped push locher into retirement and the change of the guard coming next month. he got away with trashing and diminishing the DT legacy for way too long.
I will have to check down for a spell. I made the mistake of looking ahead. Bad mistake. So, to avoid possible libel and slander issues I’m going to keep quiet for a bit.
Even though someone beat me to the punch, I’ll put my 2-cents in anyway.
For tomorrow’s “sleepasode” ” Locher won’t need 7 panels to summarize this week’s strips. It so predictable, and so insipid, that it can be done with just two panels!
Here’s my prediction for the Sunday strip.
Panel 1: (At headquarter): Chief horn hair (drawn in all her color dripping splendor!) asks the eternal question: “What’s the big news Sam? “. Sam (looking like he’s just been sucking on a under ripe lemon) just gives her the usual enigmatic, pinched poker-faced, bow tie quivering stare, but says nothing. A thought balloon above Sam’s head says “Huh! Like I’m going to tell you what the big news is!! Don’t hold your breath b*#?@.”
Panel 2: (Back in the moldy “old” granary): Mordred continues to taunt Spacey’s sexual inadequacy:
“You’re missing something really BIG here, Tracy”.
Spacey, having been nervously looking down at his shoes at the rising water, jerks up his head, gives Morass his famous lock-jawed stare and asks “Oh yah, what am I missing?” To be continued…
That’s it! Riveting dialog, right? Two panels, no outside view of the now rotting and decayed granary needed. Of course, knowing Locher, he’ll add 5 panels of “boring filler” just to further annoy his critics.
wwcameralab, half the fun is reading the comments. Many times they are much more entertaining than this strip. Seriously, has this plot moved at all in the past month? This is ridiculous.
wndrwrthg, another great one!
I just read up until the 20th. It doesnt get better. Sorry. It only gets worse and makes even less sense.
Spoiler alert: Next week has nothing to do with this week. Most of tomorrow’s installment has nothing to do with this week. This was done by a person who absolutely doesn’t care about his workmanship and is, as I write this, just filling time until retirement.
Now I’d better stop before I start questioning the ancestry of Tracy, Mordred, Sam, Lizz and last but not least Locher and Brozman.
WW–Great, Great, Great one. I think it sums up the feelings of all of the regulars. I wonder how much longer the storm of the century is going to last? I hope not until the next century. No, I’m wrong there. Only until March 13th, then I hope the sun will come out tomorrow, just like Annie.

I also think the granary washed out into the ocean. Will the AWACS plane be able to fly in that kind of storm?
