“Nothing to see here!” Archival claims, but he can’t stop boasting about his roomfuls of “exceptional comic artwork.” I bet he wishes he could boast about the two human additions to his collection.
If the secret safe room door has good camo Dick will only see what Brock wants him to see. Not finding anything that they can bite on, Dick and Sam will have to go into stealth mode with surveillance and some far off drones with long range optical lensing backed by a camera.

TODAY’S NITPICK MESSAGE WAS ABLE TO BE BROUGHT TO YOU BECAUSE OF THE GENEROUS DONATIONS OF THE FRIENDS OF THE SOCIETY OF NITPICKERS, EAST COAST CHAPTER.
Does Honeymoon have telepathic powers? Can’t she “tell” Mysta Tracy is in the house and so make some noise to alert Mister Tracy (See what I did there?) of their location?
Archival is awfully confident, maybe overconfident? Is he leading Dick ’n Sam to a death trap? Or does he simply plan to put them in the safe room too, switching them with Vera ’n Mysta and then taking off with them to his island?
The ‘secret room’ would have been designed by the architect for the storage/hiding of the most valuable objects in the collection. Archive plays at, “I’ve got nothing to hide,” feeling secure it’s hidden too well for Tracy.
1-DT: Is that Betty? Archie’s side piece? STAN: Yes, as painted by Andy Warhol.
2-DT: Say! Did any Archie comics ever address the possibility of premarital sex? I’ve got an issue with my – I wanna say “granddaughter” considering it and I could use some help.
3-STAN: Why yes, as a matter of fact. It’s one of my prized possessions. I keep it right down this hall. It should help even though it’s mostly about Archie considering his first Devil’s Three Way. That notwithstanding, it’s a touching story of Archie’s struggle with the idea of an encounter of an intimate nature. The only difference is that Jughead would be involved.
SAM: They sell 3 Ways at the Dairy Barn. Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry on a waffle…
While Tracy has ditched the overcoat in this August heat (expected mid 90sF today in Chicago) Archival is probably sweating with nerves because Tracy is going upstairs. Perhaps he shouldn’t have worn a thick turtleneck sweater in August.
Maybe when he was not solving crimes, Tracy had the chance to take an art appreciation class. The extended tour of the second floor lets him apply what he learned.
Archival probably has comic art work from comic books and newspapers. Wonder where all this stuff will end up when they arrest him. The evidence room at MCU has limited space.
The city could place a claim on Archival’s estate and collect considerable revenue with guided tours for residents and visitors. Municipality of Tracy land is sitting on a gold mine.
Sounds like he is challenging the writers to draw “exceptional artwork.” As the reader, I hope they accept the challenge. I want to see what they come up with.
Not sure why Tracy prefaced his request to look upstairs by talking about probable cause, tipping his hand that he’s now suspicious about Archival, especially since Archival seems cooperative so far.
Even Mr. Archival admits there is not much to see upstairs, except some “exceptional comic artwork”!! How come we never see any of this? Instead we get floor tiles, a banister, partial wall paintings, a corridor with nondescript drawings on the wall and a door. And lest I forget, long shadows cast by legs, and Tracy’s hat (again).
I expect of Tracy nothing less than a room-by-room search of the second floor (as we call it in the U. S.; in Greece there are the “ground floor” and then next above it the “first floor,” and so on), with close attention to relative dimensions and/or suspiciously narrow rooms, thick walls, illogical cubbyholes, etc. It may take some time, but it’s the only way to be sure that they’re not missing a Hidden Room. And of course be wary of coming upon armed bad guys (Tin Soldiers)….

Thankfully both the warrant and probable cause technicalities have been summarily dealt with. Villainous hubris is convenient that way…

Tracy, forget the artwork and focus on the floor. Mysta dropped breadcrumbs for you to follow.

By playing the „probable cause“ card right now, isn’t Tracy announcing that Archival is a suspect – prematurely?

….and ONE room with a not-so-exceptional comic artist! A comic-strip joke? Mmmmmmmmmmmm, could be!……….

1.)If I were the cops,I’d find out where Archival keeps his private plane and have it surrounded.
2.)The room may be concealed with two guards in it,but you can’t stop people from sneezing or coughing.
3.)Take off your shoelace and stick it under the crack at bottom of door.
4.)I would be wary of suspiciously narrow hallways.
