It took several days of panels without dialogue to usher in this story. Perhaps we will exit with several days without dialogue. Considering the story went downhill as soon as characters began to speak perhaps that wouldnât be a bad thing. Plus ça Change, Plus Câest La MĂȘme Chose
Iâm still not sure exactly what happened throughout this story. The extended fight scene, reminiscent of the Batman 60s TV series, was not well done. I actually ended up forgetting what the story was all about. What did Pruneface have to do with this story? Nothing. Was any character interesting? No. I miss Chet Gouldâs ability to create a likeable villain, somebody to whom the reader could relate. Sure, Shaky was a bad guy, but his love for Snowflake was genuine.
Thatâd be Sid Terror, the ultra-radical garbageman who sought to thwart justice by smearing the road out of town with eau de pastrami, thus halving the forceâs detective squad.
Or, scroll down and itâs about the Chiefâs ingrown toenail finally being treated with some new miracle surgery. Though the aftereffects of the radiation treatment and subsequent mutant rampage are only vaguely referenced, including in the followup story ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD MYSTERIOUSLY VANISHES, LEAVING ONLY RUBBLE.
The mayor, of course, touts this as progress, saying âHey! Who ELSE is going to create a wonderous new mile-wide vacant lot at no expense?â
Tomorrow? The gasp-evoking debut of OUT OF AIR MAN! YES! The invisible evildoer and all-around wicked guy who is NEVER SEEN, as he strides the streets blatantly jay walking, and committing no discernible crimes.
After a month of this suspense, it turns out to have been a new radio fantasy by Boresome âOveraged Whiz Kidâ Welles, and the âperpâ that has had Tracy running in ever-widening ellipsoids for weeks is merely an errant breeze (though youâll never convince Silly Sam of that. He still sleeps hiding under the covers.).
Kind of like the end of MONSTER A-GO GO, where there WAS no monster, et.
No! seriously! They made a BAD sci-fi flick where weâre told at the end that nothing weâve seen happened. Talk about your whopper jawed ending!
Slightly incomplete headlineâ-should have mentioned WHO was the terroristâ-Junior is complaining they photographed his bad side. Not that he had a good oneâŠ..

TracyVille must exist in a time warp. Itâs the only major American city in the 2020s with both Nazi terrorists & a daily newspaper.
