I’m missing something. Does this mean that because it’s a romantic comedy he is going to change the channel and watch something else, anything else, even the Three Stooges? Otherwise I don’t see how the Three get into this.
I used to run with a highly educated crowd in Chicago. We all had Masters, MBAs, one Mensa guy, etc. Our wives were disgusted by us fellas because we all loved The Stooges, Ace Ventura, Airplane!, Dumb & Dumber, etc.
Actually, I think all of their feature length movies (and quite a few of their shorts) had a romantic angle. The full movies also had Curly Joe instead of the One True Curly, however. They really should’ve closed up shop after losing both Curly and Shemp (who is underrated, BTW). Joe Besser was good in other roles, but he just didn’t fit the Stooges.

The Stooges didn’t do romantic comedy. They did stupid and annoying.

I’ miss those guys. No one really stepped up to fill their comedic shoes. Many tried, but all fell short.

Marx brothers were better at rom-coms.

The only thing I liked about the Three Stooges was their theme song.

Had recently watched a documentary on those Stooges. So sad in that they and several others back in those days were ripped off by the studios.

If it was a romantic comedy, why wasn’t Eno slapped?

I don’t remember the Strooges being all that romantic, even when they tried to be.

There has been some romance in the “Three Stooges” films, but it ends in rivalry and slapstick.

I wouldn’t expect to see the Three Stooges in any movie labeling itself any kind of comedy.
