Liz Wilson should ask Elly for a second opinion on Jon Arbuckle’s wardrobe.

We won’t go there. but I do have to chuckle about John’s wardrobe. My husband has learned to check with me.

Yes…black, white, navy blue, and anything jean-related is alright with me

Easy fix- lose the @&$% tie and be comfortable.

This is why I wear primarily solids. No fashion sense at all, but at least I don’t cause seizures.

My wife makes me wear Garanimals.

Women are supposedly responsible for our males’ attire be they husband or son. So it would appear that we have the better fashion sense. & yet it most of the clothing designers are men. Granted what I have seen makes me cringe.

I go with what I want to wear. The last time I listened to my wife I got laughed at—by everyone including a baby.

But yet combining sheets/bedding with mismatched patterns looks nice, as long as there is a unifying colour (tiny blue & white flowers with blue & white stripes).

My hubby wears track pants 90% of the time. If we are going somewhere special, I wrestle him into a decent shirt and jeans or dress pants. He has one suit that we will take out of “mothballs” for his son’s wedding later this year.

Ugh! Just like my DH. People laugh at him when he goes out in public. If I’m not there to guide him in his clothing choices, and he wears something disgusting, I just pretend I’m not with him.

My niece says she once shocked another Mom because she doesn’t lay out her grade-school aged son\s clothes. She figures he needs to learn how to dress himself and she’s probably doing his future wife a favor.

John’s gonna have the “blues” if he doesn’t change………………and wait til Elly sees his undershirt!

This perfectly demonstrates the difference in thought processes between the Male and Female on so many levels, that it’s actually scary!

My poor husband- I have no clue about what looks nice or clashes, and seldom notice what anyone is wearing. It’s a good thing he’s an engineer and nobody expects much out of him, fashion-wise.

My thoughts exactly! I will wear stripes with checks if I want too. (My wife says I don’t want to.)

I just read in a fashion magazine this month that mismatching patterns is “in” this season for women. Blech.

My husband is the one with fashion sense in our family. When our daughters turn 13, he will be the one to help them shop for clothing. Until then, they can wear whatever they like as long as they are decently covered, suited to the weather, and can run and play in it. Three different patterns in clashing colors will not cause me to bat an eye.

As one who would only keep up on fashion trends to ensure I don’t follow them – John’s answer makes perfect sense to me!

John you better get down to the gym you have a gut

Add in argyle socks and a red plaid jacket, and I still wouldn’t get what the problem was. That’s why I prefer to stick with muted solid colors.

John, the fact that everything’s blue is the precise problem! You need to have at least one other color, unless of course you are going to a costume party as the big blueberry from “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”.

I have had this identical conversation with my wife, except for the tie. She swears that horizontal stripes do not go with vertical or diagonal ones.

My hub is easy to dress: L.L. Bean jeans and shirts, preferably long-sleeved. Simple medium-weight black socks and some snarky underwear…he also prefers running shoes… ;)

Old fashioned concepts. Today you can wear dots and stripes and whatever together — especially if the colors match. I say, go for it Jon. Down with frumpy conservative dress!

Ha-ha! This one made me laugh out loud :D I love mixing patterns… but John may have gone a little too far ;)
