Well, Gordon. Last spring you were a bowser and this fall you are still a bowser. Fortunately Michael is there to throw you on the floor before you attack Allyson Creemore (don’t think about that name too long).
I remember going to my 10th high school reunion. The “it” couple (who married after graduation) looked like tired, frumpy middle aged people. The geeks and “bowsers” looked stunning….and come to find out, they were successful! You never want to peak in high school.
The hormone attack story was memorable. Not for me, but for all kinds of people who read it. For years after this series ran, folks would stop me and tell me how they were attacked themselves and when! I was privileged to some personal and sometimes too personal stories. When you write something folks can relate to, they let you know!
that was posted 8 hours ago; but, it’s not showing for me here, nor are any of the other comments shown by that profile page. In the past, when someone was banned, comments weren’t visible, even on the profile page; so, this is confusing (I can see it there, but not here). I hope yless hasn’t been banned (moderator@gocomics.com decides/arbitrates that).
At the start of 7th grade one of the girls had developed substantially over the summer! And was a topic of male conversation for over a week. It happens.
There was a story online a couple of years back about a teenaged girl who chose to violate the dress code by wearing a halter style sundress to school. She was protesting because she felt that the school’s solution to guys acting like Gordon above was to make the girls cover up. In other words, if teenaged girls show any skin, it’s there own fault if they get harassed, so we’ll make the girls hide their bodies rather than make any attempt to teach boys to act respectfully. After all, “Boys will be boys.”

She’s not the one, Gordo. Trust me.

Always be friendly to “plain”, “homely” or, as he calls it, “bowzers” people. You could be the friend from way back.

Hopefully Gordo brought an extra pair of pants.

“Holy spandex?!” I do not remember anyone ever saying that one, but it’s hilarious!

Not surprising, the hormone attack, I’ve seen more clothes on strippers than passes for dress code compliant attire at high schools.

What is a bowser? I always thought that was the name of the boss enemy in Super Mario Brothers.

This reminds me of Pete’s reaction in Brother Where Art Thou when they saw the “sirens” washing in the creek! ;o)

Well that just got him a letter sent to the Diane Feinstein of the future eliminating his chances of Supreme Court Justice.

Today the PC police would drag Gordo off to sensitivity retraining.

Creemore?

My HS (1957) has had reunions every 10th and some of the 5th. I also noted that some of the plain Janes were stunning by the 15th.
Main lesson learned in HS: It can take a man 3 years to get up the courage to ask a girl for a date.
And her 10 milliseconds to say no!

Reminds me of Jan Brady in season 5. Boy did she blossom during the hiatus.
