They all act like they lost their freaking mind

Confusing. Elly had a breast pump back in late April. April was shown eating solids a few weeks ago. The situation seems doable to me even without the breast pump and the solid food. 4 hours work, lunch break, 4 hours work, home. The only awkward part is taking a long lunch break so she can go over to Anne’s house.

Wait until she wails, fusses, makes a stinky diaper, pulls someone’s hair or earring, blabbles loudly, rattles her toys, shrieks….they will demand for her to stay with a babysitter.

“Sorry sir. I still have no explanation for the sudden drop in productivity”.

A visiting toddler walked down the Engineering work station room of our small company and one by one flipped off the servers. Pretty funny but we did lose a day.

Children or babies do not belong at work. Keep them at home or a sitters. Do not make the people you work with put up with your child! Not everyone likes kids.

The downside of taking a baby to work is when they grab the baby and pass him/her around. Always afraid of germs and the baby being dropped.

That’s only Day One. The rest of the work time might be different when the novelty wears off..

Misses being around adults and yet turns the office into a baby talking bunch.

I think depends on the business, some places not fit for a baby, other places yes, and last it depends on the boss allows. Job I had I had dead time driving and husband did not want to help with daycare for our first one, and my parent’s raised sibling and I, felt was their time.

“Anne said she’d take the baby”….. DANG…. I wish MY neighbors were willing to babysit our kids whenever! Seriously though…. there are people out there with kids who also have siblings, parents, aunts, uncles, etc who live nearby and are willing to babysit at the drop of a hat or take the kiddos for a weekend. And then there are those who don’t have that luxury, they’re either completely alone by themselves, their family lives too far away or if they live close by, they don’t want to babysit. I am one of the latter…. it stinks. Those who have that great support network should never, ever, take it for granted!

The library ladies ought to know better than do “baby talk” to an infant.

Seems like a win to me. I wonder how it will go with bring your pet to work day? I’m not against it, I’m just thinking about all the fun.

Throughout all of history, and across the planet, 99.99% of mothers work. The concept of a “stay at home mom” that does nothing but take care of the kids and the home is an abnormality that was only briefly possible for the working class (50s – 80s).

In most cases though, the mother doesn’t (didn’t) leave their kids with daycare, they took them to work with them. Working on the fields, around the farm, or while she was on the loom. Grandparents, aunts, and other relatives would help too, especially of the mother was a servant and couldn’t cart the baby around with them.

Either way… mothers worked. It isn’t economically viable for the whole “stay at home mom” routine. At least not with the economy we currently have.

The child will never learn to speak properly with that chatter going on.

Why is it in the last panel that first lady can say “see” but not “so sweet?”

Raising kids is as important and responsible as doing other works. In fact more important than that. Both men and women should understand this fact.

Moms can’t stay home, because dads don’t earn what their grandfolks used to back in the 1950s. Times have changed – or haven’t you been paying attention?
