Today Peter could just blame the coach just like bad students blame teachers.

Really?! Is Peter really that bad!?

You could always leave Peter on the bench for the entire game. Are you implying that even then he would hurt the team’s chances?

I’m not sure of the roster size of a HS baseball team. If Peter is the worst player on the team; how bad are the rest of the students?

Bench was my usual position.

Obviously, Peter doesn’t have a nose for detecting a hint.

Broke a thumb in the playoffs. My team won the softball championship. Got sick in another league I played. Missed the playoff championship. We won.

That is when I knew it was time to hang ‘em up.

There are bench warmers and then there are bed warmers.

The coach is hinting that Peter should go visit Sherman and Kahuna.
