Celebrate the little things in life. It may just save your sanity in today’s world. For me, yesterday, it was a young bird more curious than afraid as it sat on the porch rail (2 feet away) studying me, and 10 cardinal red blooms (more coming) on my indoor cyclamen.
Where I come from, a “soda” is not a soda unless there is ice cream involved. Until then, it’s just “Pop”. Actually I tend to refer to pop by it’s brand name, (Would you like Coke or Sprite?).
This is so true! I call it looking for the little joys in life…nothing too small or insignificant to count. It helps us live in the present moment and I’ve learned to not compare to what “used to be” as it is a joy-robber! In practicing this over the last 15 years since day 11 of losing my husband, it has helped me tremendously and changed my life. Whether getting a visit from wildlife, enjoying the beauty of nature, a puppy’s kiss, a call from a friend, a stranger letting me merge in traffic, someone holding the door open for me…I have learned to fully appreciate those moments.

You wont have to deal with NBC or all the annoying commercials in your opening ceremonies, big plus.
