The only thing I learned in college that I use today I learned in my work-study job. However, law school actually taught a lot of stuff I did use a great deal.

The old days when banks did student loans and not the government. That change is one of the causes of too high tuition.

Hell, much of what I learned in college has been superceded by new findings. . .it’s been an interesting 60 years. . .

I took Computer Science/Applied Math in college. The CS curriculum was outdated before I even started school and I never used the math. The only thing I got out of college was some practice writing programs, but even that didn’t prepare me for work. Unfortunately, the curriculum today is still outdated.

So car loans should go down because the car is depreciating in value? But home loans would go up….

I have a university degree in English Literature. We had to take a few courses in other disciplines to get a “well rounded education”. I had planned on being a teacher but my grades weren’t quite good enough. So i went into retail, in a bulk food store. The university course i use every day was “Introduction to Apiculture”. Anyone asks a question about honey and i almost always remember the answer from that course.

I continue to be grateful that I left College without any debt. Now, about that math degree I ‘earned’……lol.

So much of what is taught in college is useless and has little use in life, let alone in the field of study.

They tell Physicians that half of what they were taught in medical school will be wrong in 5 years – they just don’t know what half. And it’s true.

Nursing school and methodology is ridiculously outdated – by a factor of decades.

Take a look at al the courses that have no substance that colleges offer.
