You can always chuck steel wool into an electric drill.

Belt sander? A real man will use a Dremel.

And if you add wheat germ and ground flax, its far worse; so I rinse the bowl right after I finish. If you hold the covid-19, there’s no soap needed, as its all water soluble.

So typical … don’t have time for a quick rinse initially; but can have a “go to” list of time consuming remedies for later.

This also applies to cleaning the inside of microwaves. Ever clean one after your soup exploded and all that gunk dried on the sides?

Aren’t these kids in 3rd or 4th grade? Have they been taught what an exponential curve is?

A long time ago I ran a small plant down south. One day Bobby Joe came in with a disgusted expression and said “Women!” I said, “Bobby Joe. . . what did you do?” He said, “Well you know I’ve been rebuilding my engine. Its time to start reassembling, so I put the cams & pistons in the dishwasher. Now she wants me to buy her a new dishwasher!!” I told him “Bobby Joe, you can fight about this all you want, but in the end you will buy her a new dishwasher. Save yourself a lot of heartache, buy the dishwasher now.”

I’ve always wondered — don’t those steel wool sheep rust in the rain?

Every time I hear somebody talking about running something thru the dishwasher I get nervous, because at my house that would be me.

That’s why you rinse the oatmeal bowl before you put it in the dishwasher. Running the DW after every meal is wasteful of power, water and soap.

I have a dishwasher but only because it came with the house. NEVER use it. I just store my pots and pans in there. My previous home had no such appliance – but four kids, so it worked out even better.

“Few things say boredom like…”? Spoken like a non-science geek.

But you can count on a sponge and some baking soda.

I find it amusing that the ad to the left of the comic, today, is selling power tools.

Or just rinse the bowl out if you’re not running the dishwasher.

Soak it hot water for a year or two.

Use COLD water oatmeal won’t stick. If it dries, soak in cold water then rinse.
