In all reality , Because some people like to be snarky and make fun of things and have to stick together, ĺike the commenters òf Gil Thorp .Uhh, Right.
In order for the Mudlarks to secure 2nd place in The Valley, last game of the season against Coach Drool and Valley Tech, Joe Bolek must punt from his endzone with seconds left in the 4th quarter to secure a 14-13 victory. Before the punt team takes the field, GilPa has a Spock-like moment, pulls Joe aside and whispers, “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one.”
I know that it’s been mentioned several times before, including by me, but Dumb and Dumber is what this strip is becoming. Agree with Mr. Peterson….they keep coming up with stuff that out-lames any previous stories, except maybe the Peacock

I feel like punting this storyline already. Two thumbs down.

He’s got the punting job even though no one has seen him kick since junior high. That would only happen in the movies.

Wouldn’t a self-styled expert say “films” rather than movies?

Myself, I’d sort of look for an example other than Vic and Blood in “A Boy and His Dog”.

I hope this absolutely moronic dialog ceases soon, if not bring on the basketball season!!!
P2 I cringe to think that this is going to lead to them having a “movie night” together and end up in places we don’t want to see this go!!!
Punt this story line into the upper deck please!!!

P1, Very interesting. But stupid!
P2, Bo knows movies?
P3, I think Joe is teaming up with Double D to expose the illicit shower culture at Milford for their joint senior year project.

He should have used the line from “Eddie and the Cruisers” . Wordman like “words and music”

Say you have to go to the bathroom, Kaz, and Google it.

I sometimes wonder if Rubin and Whigham are simply using this strip to make fun of people who were mean to them in high school.

Panel 3: More like Tweedledee and Tweedledum.

I remember watching “A Boy and his Dog” on VHS in the 80’s; one of Don Johnson’s earlier roles.
