Since when does each team get two lanes in a relay?

Not enough info Hank. Is this a dual, tri or quad meet? Read. Set. Go. POW. Skish Skish. If this is girls 4 × 100 relay, who are Keri and Dubbs 3 other relay mates?

P2: It’s going to be tough to complete this race since there’s a fence built across the track. Although it’s often said players will run through a brick wall for a good coach.

Why is there a fence across the track? And a line dividing the lane Keri is about to run in? And such a massive stadium for a HS track meet?

I’m glad this is being broadcast by radio. The stadium was completely sold out and I was really hoping to see who wins this autumn 4 by 1.

Is that a fence in P2, or is it the dumpster that’s constantly on fire?

Keri’s gonna get smoked, since she’s still on a knee when the starting gun goes off.

Because radio stations always broadcast high school track meets.

P4: Keri crumbles to the ground, balling up into a quivering heap as she is simultaneously stricken be PTSD hearing the sound of the starters gun and malnutrition from not eating for over a week.

So, my time spent as a Track and Field starter is finally going to pay off!

It looks like they might actually be running a 400 (not a 4×100 relay) since there are no batons and multiple runners on the starting line. Speaking of the starting line, Keri has both hands on or past the line (hands have to be behind the line) and she’s in the lane next to her, all of which are enough to get her DQ’d. Finally, you alternate the runners. Milford would be in lanes 1 and 3 and the other team in 2 and 4.

Looks like we have infractions on both the writer and illustrator.

It’s a small point given that every other single thing is wrong, but did the Jefferson women really get dressed on the track?

I do believe, this is the first school I’ve ever heard of whose colors are red-orange and black. I’m sort of surprised the rival isn’t wearing Lavender or Puce.

The lane placement is equally puzzling. If Milford is indeed in lanes 3 and 4 then the Jefferson Jeffs don’t look to be in lanes 1 and 2. What is a Jeff anyway?

    Maybe it’s not a fence. Maybe it’s the 4:15 to Goshen. Choo-choo!

P1- “Jackie Carter here reporting from the Milford Blimp.”

P2- What happened to the shadows? Well, at least we got the white lines back.

P3- Keri, Bozo called. He wants his track shoes back.

P2- I called Vito from a nearby pay phone and placed an exacta box on the two girls on the left. The lavender top runner has finished her Kool Filter King and looks very chill.

I’m just going to list the issues:

    The fence

    The variable widths of lanes

    2 lanes double occupied

    Keri’s hand across the line

That stripe in the middle of the lane front of Keri

Starting into the straightaway instead of into the curve

    No batons

It’s customary to put your best runners on the same team

Track is really pretty simple if you just watch one meet with somebody who has a clue.

Here’s a thought. Maybe that’s not a wall. Maybe it’s a small building holding back something like tigers. Once they open the doors, everybody is setting records! And speaking of records, Mopped Up Thorp is setting records for the most Gil Thorp parody strips.

What is with the silhouettes? At the diner ? On the track ? Lanes 1 & 2 are not visible in P2. Milford is wearing red-black,not red-orange. The list is endless.
