Very familiar discussion to a lot of us older folks. It is an attempt to avoid OHNOTAGA disease, which has become more contagious during the covid years.
We used to have a woman at our church who was this way. For every solution, she had another problem. She was complaining about having to lug the vacuum up and down the steps, so I suggested getting a second, small machine to keep upstairs. “I do NOT want my house to be a parking lot for vacuum cleaners!” OK, then.
The problem for many people living in areas that are still locked down or restricted because of the resurgence of the Covid-19, is there are not too many places where one can go or things to do – outside the confines of one’s own home.
Reminds me of the story about the couple discussing their marriage in the car. The wife says, “I feel like we’re just not as close as we used to be.” Husband: “Well, I’m still right behind the steering wheel.”

Just like the person who was offered a trip around the world but turned it down, they wanted to go somewhere else.

If you come across anything the Brits made, you might be in luck.

That is our house, in a nutshell. " Let’s fly to Florida for a couple of weeks". “Nah….flying is such a hassle.” And on and on and on….

She just answered her own question. He should record that conversation for the next she asks that, and see if she gets it.

Fun hobby I still bring stuff home I can clean up and get running. I’ve got a nice Dell Laptop revived with Win 10 and Mint Linux dual booting.
