Or ask him how he would like to imagine a baby-sized object coming out of an anatomically equivalent area in his body!

Especially when it’s time to change diapers.

And why didn’t they discuss this before they got married?

I thought he said twelve…

We’re talking about the ultimate penny-pincher here. He’ll stop at one.

He will continue to father girls until he finally gets a son, eight daughters later. But at least he will have enough to field a baseball team!

I gave up at 2 girls…kidding, I love my young ladies!

Imagine what would happen if they had quadruplets.

Do your best to just have one at a time. Don’t work on having another until the last one is pretty well along.

I’m seeing a lot of red flags in this marriage.

I’m 3rd of six. Neither my brother nor I ever had kids. Two sisters have two each and the other two stopped at one.

That’s three more than I want.

When we were courting, we discussed the number of children. Raised an only child [my sister died at age 4] I wanted my children to have siblings. One of 4 and from a multiple birth my wife was less enthusiastic. Due to severe birth complications and the need of a hysterectomy following the birth of our child…we were one and done and I thank God every day they both survived the birthing.

Good plan.

Giving birth was not too bad. Much worse was all the work and worry for the next 18 . . . . 25 years

I thought Marcus wanted 12 kids.

It’s time for a little direct communication and honesty. She needs to tell him that she wants a smaller family than he does.

Be sure to teach him how to change diapers.

He’ll wave the white flag assuming he’s helping in the first place.

Now let’s see—-three sets of quadruplets two years apart—-yeah,that sounds good.Especially since I’ll play no part in it.

Smaller families are usually the norm in developed, industrialized nations. Back on the farm you need a lotta hands to do the work, and often 3 or 4 kids outta 10 grew up. Also, smaller families are seen in more secular societies, whereas larger families may often occur in quite religious (and often more patriarchal) societies.
