Hey, gang, for those who missed yesterday’s announcement, Loose Parts just had its 25th Anniversary. Here’s a link to a little Q&A about me and the comic. You can learn how I didn’t want to call Loose Parts Loose Parts. https://www.andrewsmcmeel.com/loose-parts-celebrates-25th-anniversary/
My cure for earworms; Pick a very short “melody” and play it through your noggin. For instance, I use the three-note NBC “theme”. Seems to work pretty well.
Hold me closer, tiny dancer… (a Nat Geo article about a guy who walked the road from the USA to Alaska said the worse thing that happened to him was getting that song stuck in his head)
I used to try to listen to the SF Giants baseball games on my portable radio - until the “1-800 cars for kids” ad starts to play!!!! Just writing this has triggered it!! IT IS THE WORST EAR WORM EVER!!!

Of these 3, which one’s the catchiest? For me, it’s “Who Let The Dogs Out”

Add “It’s a small world.” We were caught in a stalled ride at Disney 30 years ago and just the melody triggers it.

Not only do I have a new ear worm, I don’t know which one to choose. Thanks a lot, Dave.

Diamond Lil had a segment on earworms recently. I wonder how many other cartoonists picked up on them. I suspect a lot… it’s a small world, after all.

Never heard any of those. Today’s earworm for me is Scott Joplin’s Paragon Rag. Catchy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaxoXGVJjb4

He’ll get rid of them easy enough. He’s going to play some Brubeck.

A fitting earworm for the lawn might be the Grass Roots’ “Midnight Confessions”.
