I assume Luann’s curfew is later than normal, given that they are coming home from a New Year’s dance. But what time is it that she usually has to get home? She just needs to time her evening activities better, to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

It looks like Quill never unbuttoned his jacket, so no, they didn’t go very far.

Um, Mr. Evans, can we get on with the stories of the more interesting characters in your strip? Horny teens just aren’t very interesting.

I think this may be leading up to A Very Special Episode of Luann. It would fit Greg’s style.

… slightly messed up Luann’s hair and required her to reapply lipstick.^A female will re-apply lipstick even at the smallest incident… even a kiss itself is enough for that.. women will apply the lipstick whenever they think it’s messed up, such as at dinner, while simply conversing, or just because they may feel the urge to make sure nothing is out of place (there are some women who are constantly self-conscious about their appearance to begin with, though it’s not all !)…. So, I’d say that even just the kissing itself may be enough for her to re-apply it… just to make sure that she didn’t look disheveled, upon re-entering her home… – As far as the hair, it could have been from the gag about the heat and the steam fogging up all around… or perhaps Quill held her head as they kissed, or what could be deemed as “acceptable petting parameters” (or by some parents, “acceptable limits”)… or the head rest could’ve mussed it… so maybe nothing more than “Defcon 1”….

Warmer? Hotter? Taken at face value, perhaps the heater control was accidentally bumped up to maximum during the canoodling.

Too many are blithe to the real danger a candle can cause. House or apartment fires every year around Christmas time. ^Once, they showed on the news, how those fires start, when people go willy nilly with the stuff on the inside… the candles near the curtains, the trees and even the electric lights draped over everything including those trees, near window curtains, and that can catch onto anything flammable on the inside…you’re right!..

Well, maybe, but not necessarily.. there’s reasons for it to feel “hot” that don’t necessarily involve more…. for instance, there’s kissing, and then there’s kissing … the fact that one can kiss for a longer period, can be the “raising the heat”. It’s why some girls say “you can tell if there’s fireworks by the kiss”. Two guys can both have dated a girl, and if both hypothetically had kissed her the exact same way, she may feel differently about each one, based on her overall feelings for the guy, and the unique parameters of each person’s physical nuances of touch during the moment and physical affection, and even the moment itself can come into play… the ambience, atmosphere, etc…. even a song on the radio that is “their” song, or a song that just makes the mood for her…

-I’ve never tried that. My candles sit on the stove top; if they fall over or send any sparking material, it lands on the glass cooktop and goes out. ..but they are difficult to relate to the comic strip audience… ^Well, it could seem to be understood that kissing that way is relatable, since it’s widely understood, without having to illustrate it as much…. – I doubt that Greg would want to insinuate anything else than what would be considered “standard” dating fare for a MOR general family strip…he has referred to himself as “an old fashioned fogey” on his blogs, when it comes to these things… he knows how dates go, but he has stated that he has his limits on certain things that he would do… even when exploring issues, he wouldn’t seem to take it there…petting may be understood as acceptable to him in this regard, but I highly think that he’d want to purposely “shock” his audience (the way they seem to be trying to do with the new “Degrassi”), even when exploring changes….anything else seems to be just people supplying the missing info themselves with some… “more exciting”… action, in the manner of what Atomiv says… how some just want to watch the world “burn”…

Cosby’s third show (with Phylicia Rashad, etc.) happened that way, as well as some others… – You know, another thing about it, too, is if they go to another network and don’t keep the same team on for producing, writing, etc…. some TV shows that switch networks midway through the series’ run have had that, where you definitely could tell the difference in quality or style. Not always bad, but in small ways, you can tell….. - I remember how musicians like Joan Jett and the Blackhearts had that experience, too… nobody wanted them, but now they all get in line to say "I was the first to reject them! Lol!….

The best way to de-fog car windows (however they many have got fogged up!) is to turn on the air conditioner (even if you are also running the heater), since the air conditioner removes the moisture from the air.

Possible for tomorrow: Luann will have to drop off Quill, and when they do Gunther and Rosa are still going at it—hot & heavy, if PG!

Nothing will ever really happen between these two. “Hey, it’s late, you have to get home in 10 minutes” isn’t a reason, it’s an excuse. They sort of want to do something (Luann, more than Quill), but they more strongly want not to do anything (Quill, more than Luann). That’s pretty much the definition of “contented frustration” (as Luann explained it during their dance), so they will be contented to remain frustrated for the duration of their romance.

The first car my wife and I owned when we got married was an ‘88 Pontiac Grand AM, and the kicker was that the defroster was on the fritz….. and one day it was below zero, and the windows were literally frosted with ice crystals, LOL!… we had our tricks to defrost them, including a manual scraping… and one day we had to stop and use a de-icer at the drive thru car wash… we had some fun times with that ol’ girl… her name was “Hazel”, because we noticed some of our car info spelled it out, in certain letters….

Nothing untoward happened between them, as evidenced by yesterday’s strip (“At least the windows are steamed up”, “Lucky them”). My guess: they’re worried because Luann’s obviously going to miss curfew. The parents might not trust them already due to the cute stunt with the locked bedroom door earlier, and so I expect the folks could be irate if she shows up late.

True… but how many fictional teens do you know that do things with the most logic, or by the book, even?….
