And instead of refs, we can have fact-checkers.

If I want to watch a political debate, I’ll go down to the zoo and watch monkeys fling feces at each other. It’s a much classier act.

It ain’t gonna be pretty. Not when the country is suffering as it will be in another 60 days. Lots of numbers will be higher, but they’ll have nothing to do with polls. And Entertainment is not the word I would choose.

Shadenfraud and entertainment are not the same thing. And yes, I’m aware how it’s spelled.

Sound and fury, signifying nothing…I haven’t watched a presidential debate since 1980.

In debates you need TWO intelligent people. Right now there is only one. Trump claimed an IQ of 182. You need to move the decimal point two places to the left for his true IQ

When you have to fact check the fact checkers it’s time turn off the TV.

No thanks, I’m already overly entertained. Presidential “debates” are like the conventions – overblown wastes of time which enlighten no one. If debates must be held, they should have one real moderator who’s not trying to show off, and no live audience.

If after every untrue or misleading statement, a fact checker throws a penalty flag like ref’s in football do, that first debate is going to last until the next election.

If I don’t watch any of these, I’ll have maintained my perfect record.

…may not be a debate, just the President answering questions.

It.. will only be a debate if there is a mute button that the hosts can activate when trump goes off topic. Perhaps some means of applying a mild shock when they stray from the question..

What if they gave a presidential debate and nobody watched?

I no longer fact check Trump. I just assume he’s lying. I’m right 99% of the time.
