With infinite dimensions, I guess that explains everything…

An infinite-dimensional Hilbert space reference. I like that kind of thing.

    Well, that was predictable.

On a technical aside, everyone knows the sox are taken by sox-faeries to build their nests.

Robotman was living with Monty in 1997, although I doubt it’s one of his socks.

Is the Hilbert space reference to a spot in a trailer park?

What would be really useful would be pre-hole versions of socks that you didn’t lose, but which developed holes, were repurposed as dust rags, and thrown out in 2017.

Further evidence for the hypothesis I advanced yesterday: Half of those lone socks aren’t missing from your own pair, they’ve been teleported in from someone else’s.

Hilbert space is fine, but by removing that sock, I think he disrupted the structure of Dilbert space!

If we assign an unique integer to each sock in the universe (of socks), then removing one of them at random may have made the associated metric space incomplete. This means the distortion of the space-time continuum won’t be Hilbert space anymore. Head for the hills!
