Just about every concrete job done on my property has some kind of “time capsule”. I have a flag pole and the base has an old cell phone in the footing. There is a time capsule in the foundation of my house. Grandkids filled it. There are empty beer bottles in some walls (youngest son and I did some of the framing).
My crazy* project is to make ABS pipe floating time capsules, hike to some remote glaciers and place them in the ice. They should arrive sometime in the future in a river or in the ocean. Maybe some will be found. Thinking about all the climate theory publications rolled up and put inside.
*My kids may declare me demented and take over my finances though……that’s ok….I have a full set of extra car keys……just can remember where I put them….what was I saying..? Oh yeah;
When I was a kid, we replaced our veranda-sized front porch with an enclosed vestibule. It had a tiny attic. I put some freshly minted coins and a rolled-up daily newspaper in a plastic bag, tied it off, and threw it up there for some future residents to discover. I subsequently heard that over 90% of time capsules never get found or opened.
well the gold pressed Latium bar is worth 20 million dollars, and a quatloos is equivalent to one millionth of a dollar … so the nickel would be worth 1/20,000,000th of a quatloos … so a nickel would be worth … well, about a nickel.

How many quatloos are there per a bar of gold-pressed latinum?

Do not put triskelion into time capsule

JOJODA about 1 year ago
…but probable not alot of dilithium crystals
Kaputnik about 1 year ago
By the time it’s worth that, people will be saying that a million Quatloos doesn’t buy what it used to.
Unlicensed Bozo about 1 year ago
More likely a million nickels would be a single quatloos due to inflation

But quatloos were money on a different planet — not Earth.

I’m getting a Robotman flashback , there was a couple of strips with the The Gamesters of Triskelion theme many years ago

Quatloos? Loos for 4 people at a time?

Quatloos were replaced by Shatners.
hornacek about 1 year ago
I wager 400 quatloos on the newcomer.

I prefer Ghoulars to Quatloos.

One episode – get over it. Simoleons is a more common term (and not very).
If someone knows about more episodes, I will care even less.

I’d like to see him get a Ningi in that container. I’m not really a Star Trek person.

I immediately got that reference.

I wonder what a silver dollar is worth.

By then, The Federation will have made all forms of money an archaic practice.

I had a crush on Suzi Quatloo when I was a teenager. She’s a wild one.

Maybe you should also include a lengthy, detailed explanation of what Star Trek was in your Time Capsule, Monty!
