If he went to London, you’d think they would retaliate by not letting him in. But quite the contrary they even have a special place called the Royal All-Bert Hall.

Buenos dias…….just to see what we can get started.

My Grandad moved the family from the German immigrant settled South Texas during WW I to keep his children, my Mom and Aunt, from having to speak German in school. The schools were being taught in German and one couldn’t take white bread to school. All white flour was sent to Germany. Hey, there is no way the Kaiser could lose a war.

and wiley could have added, pick my crops, clean my office, raise my kids. And for those who are foolish enough to vote GOP on this issue…….perhaps you should stop and think about who stands to gain most by preserving the status quo…..and why W did nothing about immigration…….fact is its business that profits massively from the cheap labor directly of the illegals and the reduction in wages that results for all employees. GOP will NEVER do anything that does anything to change that.

I wonder how many illegal aliens he has welcomed into his house as permanent residents as a gesture of Democrat charity…

From AZ. Most illegals are poor Sonoran Mexicans who couldn’t make in a week what they can make in two hours working here. About 7 years ago, the government raised all legal documentation from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars each. No Sonoran Mexican can afford it, unless they are drug cartel. Most Arizonans tolerate the situation because we get it. If any of us were born just south of the border, almost all of us would do exactly what they are doing. This is truly a false issue.

Since no one wants to be the Speaker of the House, the GOP will have to hire an immigrant to take the job.

Fear is what creates walls and borders. Fear thom THEM ! Those horrible others who aren’t like US !

Since time began, man has always feared someone coming along, and taking whatever he has. I’m sure the cave man jealously guarded that mastodon thigh, he was planning to eat, and wasn’t about to share it with some interloper. He’d killed it – it was his !

" No Irish or dogs need apply " was a sign quite as prominent , as “Whites Only”, at one time in the U.S.A.

    Good Cartoon, Wiley !

My mother had two men originally from a warm foreign country pun in 80’ of fence in half a day and four others showed up every two weeks to do her lawn. Flew around the house and left everything perfect. If those who are native to your country are too lazy or stubborn to do less glamorous jobs this is what happens. Which raises the questions, who does the yard work at home?

Illegal immigration isn’t really all that different from outsourcing. Both rely on exploiting an underclass that will accept conditions that domestic workers will not because it’s better than what they would have otherwise. The businesses involved will justify it by saying that the domestic workers won’t do the job, ignoring the fact that DW would gladly do the jobs, just not for the lousy pay, benefits and conditions being offered to the foreign workers. The right and the left wing both have blinders regarding the issues. The right is happy to exploit the labor and castigate their own people as being “lazy” while blaming it on the other. The left is happy to keep Open Borders while demanding increasing wages and benefits that will price domestic workers out of work and ensure that it becomes a race to the bottom as it becomes an employer’s market.

“Bert’s” attitudes are hardly new. America has always been hostile towards new waves of immigrants. In the 1840s and beyond it was the Irish. Signs in New York said “No Irish need apply.” They were considered a danger to America because they were Catholic. Eastern European immigrants – and in particular Jews – were forced into menial labour that native born Americans didn’t want to do in the 1890s, in the garment trade and the steel industry. Immigrants from Asia had to pay head tax to enter the United States and even when naturalized weren’t allowed to vote. In 1906 a law was passed in California that the children of Japanese immigrants had to attend racially segregated schools. This law was repealed in 1907 after Teddy Roosevelt was able to broker an agreement with the Japanese government that effectively ended Japanese immigration to the United States. So yeah, “Bert’s” wall and sign are directed against Hispanics or Mulims….today.

locoboilerguyThe “or to the people” part got kicked out when the South decided they were superior to the United States..spaced man spliffIt is the name they chose for themselves, and as far as I am concerned, they are stuck with it forever..JastMeWell, sort of Cherokee. The language does not lend itself to Roman alphabet. It was tried and the tribe could not get above the 30% or so adult literacy rate of the whites. Sequoya recognized the problem and designed a writing system that met Cherokee needs. Within five years of demonstrating it with his young daughter, the Cherokee had a 95% adult literacy rate, but also just barely enough gold that “the savages” had to be removed so the whites could get what little gold there was.
