…but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.

Anybody want to chip in to help pay airfare for all of those people who threatened/promised to leave following a Trump victory? Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

I admit that I have been studying such things over years. Oh and the classic “dystopias” like “WE”, “1984” & “The Handmaid’s Tale”. Watch your back they are everywhere. Oh and remember we only get to see what happens to the ones that don’t like the place, they are near utopias for the rulers and their people.

There is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. I truly hope and pray that thios country can/will at least try to work together. Stop the vitriol and gloom and doom.

We should remember the planned reconstruction policy of A. Lincoln after the Civil War.

A daybreak today, we learn that he won, despite all the pundits and crystal ball gazers. As we look out the window, we see rain and dark clouds.Perfect pairing. . .just perfect. Then later on today, we are promised sunny skies and fair weather.Well, at least one half the gloom and doom will change for the better. Will take 4 years for the other half.

Once again the reference to Hitler is being applied to the wrong candidate. The Nazi’s were for big governent, gun control, mandated life choices. Fits the democrats not the republicians. Study history.

Let’s face it, no matter who won the White House this time around, we should all tremble for our country today. ‘We the people’ were screwed with either one of these incompetent, corrupt, self-absorbed phonies.

    .

True but Hillary Clinton isn’t a barbarian like Pres. Donald J. Trump seems to be. The American People have chosen the fast we to Hell over the slower deliberate means of the Plutocrats.

No Nate. Please, that is not the way to be. I disagree with NG on just about everything he comments, however, We are America, and we have the right to say what we think. We have the right to disagree with each other.Too many have died protecting this right. As a conservative minded person, I think that it is our responsibility to try and convince, prove, to the others that our way is the more beneficial concept.

Yeah, I’m old enough to remember those bumper stickers from the 1960’s “America – Love it or leave it.” I am not old enough to remember those bumper stickers from 1776 – “His royal majesty’s colonies, love them or leave them.” Some people did neither – we call them Patriots.

I want to leave this discussion with a couple of paragraphs from Garrison Keillor’s OpEd piece today:

    .

“Alas for the Trump voters, the disasters he will bring on this country will fall more heavily on them than anyone else. The uneducated white males who elected him are the vulnerable ones, and they will not like what happens next…..

    .

We liberal elitists are now completely in the clear. The government is in Republican hands. Let them deal with him. Democrats can spend four years raising heirloom tomatoes, meditating, reading Jane Austen, traveling around the country, tasting artisan beers, and let the Republicans build the wall and carry on the trade war with China and deport the undocumented and deal with opioids, and we Democrats can go for a long , brisk walk and smell the roses.”

I’m an Independent but I think I’m going to take that brisk walk and then enjoy an artisan beer.
