Now that would be the end of civilization as we know it where truth is replaced with fiction. Fiction others agree with since truth to them doesn’t agree with their view on what realty would be and will be under their direction. Our president to be is a true personification of it. And his followers lap it up like mana from Heaven.

“3 million votes were done by illegals” Trump claimed and now it is a “truth” or better put truthiness , which means it could be truth, but it has no substantiation. Just a statement sans proof. Proof that some do not need anymore. it is now a fact because they believe it is so.

The politician was sitting at his campaign headquarters when the phone rang. He listened intently, and after a moment his face brightened. When he hung up, he immediately phoned his mother to tell her the good news. “Ma,” he shouted: “The results are in. I won the election!” “Honestly?” The politician’s smile faded: “Aw, hell, Ma, why bring that up at a time like this?”

This is what happens when the intellectual elite wake up to what has been known by many for a long, long time.

For some reason, they always over-react, where the rest of the world has just continued on for the past few decades.

This phenomenon goes far beyond the realm of politics.

This is both a reaction to and symptomatic of, the rapid dissemination of electronic information, in our times.

People are in informational overload. Their flight v. fight instincts kick in.

Their desire to deny reality, or at least reconfigure it, to a level of comfortable acceptance is, while deplorable,on the one hand, understandable, on the other.

    ..

We are indeed in Capt. Eddy’s World and will remain so, for the foreseeable future.

    .

Don’t blame The Naked Emperor. He is NOT the cause of this new ’truthiness" in our society – rather he is the living, breathing, by-product.

He is the result of what happens when emotion and faulty logic trump rational thinking !

That’s why I don’t argue politics; both sides have their own “truth”. A former friend posted something about Obama’s “legacy of hate” because he went to the funeral of a black man whose police killer “was exonerated”. I have no doubt he will totally avoid or ignore all the hateful acts being done in the name of trump, and the many more to come.

I believe in the gospel according to Hotel California: “We are all just prisoners here of our own device.” You can choose to live in darkness and be miserable, or wake up to the fact that you do have the power to change it. - No, not all of it nor any of it all at once.

    .

We fell into dotage, piece by piece. We will have to climb out of it piece by piece. You can curse the powers of darkness that be but if you do not do your little piece to overthrow them you will continue cursing them.

    .

Dispel the small patch of darkness that surrounds you: turn on a light.

No big surprise that Trump’s Chumps are still here lying and whining.

Voter Fraud is nearly non existent and getting 3 million people to participate at risk of high fines and jail exceedingly unlikely. When it does occur it is equally likely to be perpetrated by a Republican.

    Now,

    voter

suppression is a real problem perpetuated by Republicans, in Republican controlled areas.

Also, interesting, Trump makes a fraudulent comment about 3 million votes being fraudulent and it seems that is what he would have needed to come close or even beat Hillary’s lead in the Majority/Popular vote. Much as he often picks random numbers out of his rear for about everything, I do find it interesting that this one if very near a fact. Here’s hoping for factual and successful recounts and/or the electoral college doing the right thing and verifying the will of the people and putting Hillary on the Hill.

    Trump

    is a walking

garbage spewing conflict of interest. His very swampy cabinet is full of members that if not only have conflicts of interest, at least one will have to ask permission from his parole officer to travel out of country. Though, I suppose, Trump can just pardon him from his crime of actually disclosing classified information….

    Facts Matter.

    Most importantly…

When Facts Don’t Matter, People Won’t Matter.
