Had a friend who insisted adding a gallon of cheap wine to the lobster bucket an hour before cooking made the meat more tender, because they were too drunk to tense up.
I won’t be having any lobstah tonight, as I’d rather spend the money for the cover charge to see a bar band. Drink in hand, I might make tuna salad, getting a shot of nutrients to at least slow down getting stewed. There’s a great Italian bistro on the same block as the bar, so that might be a nice option, for pasta and something. I sincerely hope that all of us have a Happy New Year!!!
I understand that getting the lobsters high on THC eliminates the terror and pain involved in getting subsequently boiled. Or so somebody in Maine claimed, anyway.

I have a stewed shrimp recipe I use on New Year’s eve. But I combine all of the ingredients in my stomach. (saves time)
