There’s another cartoon premise here, one showing a dog park that IS off-leash, with lots of big dogs walking around with little dogs clutched in their jaws.
Yeah – I like the part on the map of “Really great stuff to roll in.” The other day, my 3 little fellas found “something” great to roll in and I quickly became aware of it as they all came inside afterwards and hopped up on my lap. It was then the “something” became apparent – it was skunk poo.
The seaside boardwalk that I’m most likely to go to has a no dogs, even on leashes, rule prominently posted at every likely entrance. People bring their dogs anyway, but they do keep them leashed. So maybe the trick is to ask for just one thing more than you’re willing to accept. So if they said no dogs at all, including service dogs, then maybe only the people with actual service dogs would ignore the rule.
It is a dispenser of bags for poop and a place to put the bagged poop – but people will only bag the poop and leave it ON the can or BESIDE the can. They have an allergy to putting it IN the garbage can. At least in the Pacific NW.
Nice to see that others have the same problems with dog droppings in their cities as we do in ours, especially the abandoned bag instance… It is just so disgusting to be walking and there you see that someone left the bag, or it is hanging on a branch. What is the thinking process that goes into that….
.Then there is the person who is walking his dog, and it is man, in our neighborhood, and he has a wad of bags in his hand and another hanging out of his pocket, but he doesn’t pick up after the dog anyway… he’s engrossed in his phone and just walks on after the dog does his business…

But it will be even if he has to bite the hand of the man who feeds him.

As soon as he sees that squirrel sitting next to the sign, you’ll WISH it were an off-leash park. “Annnnnnd, we’re OFF to the races!”

Wouldn’t it be cool if that were a ‘scratch and sniff’ sign.

If your dog can read, you’ve got bigger problems coming.

You really know how to spoil his fun. Forget the rules and let him go free. Good clean fun does usually involve getting a little dirty.

This is why I keep lizards , frogs, and fish. They don’t roll around in gross stuff.
