I wonder if the lemmings in the rear are redesigning his model into something that might actually support the weight. Or many more passengers! Because the last one looks like he is pondering how much to charge per flight! ;)
It’s pretty amusing that the whole lemming suicide thing is completely made up, but we all understand it so well anyway. I guess it’s no different from everybody knowing the same fables the plots of favorite movies.
The U.S. Constitution is our best chance of avoiding the historical tradition of civilizations rising and then falling like lemmings off a cliff. Keeping the government responsible to the people is key, as is individual liberty and the freedom of self-determination. We are at a crisis now because of poor educational systems that encourage governmental dependency over the dignity of self-determination. Capitalism is the least oppressive economic system and the most productive and innovative of all other choices. It is our only chance of achieving the technology necessary for the abandonment of even having the necessity for government. This is why our educational systems need to be overhauled to stress the morality of respect not only for self but others as well.
SOME lemmings have got to survive to…well…make more lemmings!
And how did you arrive at that idea? Seemed logical to me they would just jump and die, then more would just spring up from spontaneous biogenesis on the corpses.
Anyone with a working brain should have simply analyzed it. I have created another (im)possible reason for the lemmings. They are lemmings from mysterious Leng.
It is only the Lemmings of Leng who do that. When they die after hitting the water new little ones bud on their corpses then swim away. A very strange life cycle that Disney found by accident when he located the footage from 1936. We will never know who went into Leng and filmed them, and other bizarre animals on Eastman Color film then got out. (He faked the fake and excised some footage recently found in an old 100 year old movie theater in Budapest.)
Maybe one of the Leng spiders got him. Who knows where Walt Disney got that footage, but he used it. Sneaky of him. (Miskatonic University has been inquiring for years and never gets an answer, just “return to sender” stamps on them.)

Despite this belief, lemmings don’t commit suicide going over cliffs. Strange but true.

Actually, Norwegian parents warn their kids about chasing lemmings. If a lemming gets too excited, it explodes injuring everyone nearby.
