This reminds me of just recently they had/showed an exhibition match (playing for “fun” – with no prize money awarded) between some of this past year’s champions as part of Jeopardy’s “Tournament of Champions” which is currently being televised.
What I find saddest is that Johnny still uses the same voice and cadence to announce the show. And I hear " And here is our host, Alex Trebeck". I do love watching the show if only to find that I know some random fact that the contestants don’t.
Now that I think about it, many of my childhood memories are of watching daytime TV in the summer. Jeopardy, Hollywood Squares, What’s My Line and Match Game. I seem to remember daytime Twilight Zone, The Fugitive and Dragnet as well. I suppose the Rifleman and Daniel Boone were in there as well.

What is going on with Barb? I see a man’s head just above the podium, then something above or behind it, maybe holding the buzzer.

A TV show where you can actually learn something and test your own knowledge. What a concept!
