Remember to try to pop the raft just before you die, Barry. If you can’t live, neither can he.

Yes, it is completely allowed to start a fire on the bottom of a rubber raft. ONCE!

Hummm, from the looks of it, the big man there doesn’t miss many meals. Tip the boat over Barry and see who can get back in faster.

Logic would say that the big guy would sustain the little guy longer than vice versa, but the bigger guy’s reasoning usually wins out over logic.

If you’re willing to wait a few days, and I’m sure you’re not, you can lay out the strips in the sun and eventually have jerky.

There are no periods in SOS, it is not an abbreviation. It does not mean “save our ship” or “save our souls” or any such thing; it does not stand for anything. It was merely adopted because it was easily recognized in Morse code (three dots, three dashes, three dots); the previous distress call was CQD and was much more difficult to recognize and wasn’t an abbreviation either. SOS was adopted back when the only means of radio communications was with Morse code. It was an international distress call; if it was an abbreviation, it would be different letters for different languages.
