I love the British sense of humor. Here, we would have called him “Bee”, or “Wasp”. They’re just so much more clever.

… but I hear Police is Notorious when they go on duty with Guns and Roses.

SYNCHORNICITY is a classic album!

Sting ,an Englishman in Italy . After so many years spent here (Tuscany) he hasn’t learned a word in Italian . If I were in England just a few days speaking my poor English they’d blame me for my ignorance .

My sentiments exactly; Pig’s that is. However, I’d include ‘Everry Breath You Take’.

I know a few like Pig! They’re masters at deflecting reality. And many of them are content, some even happy!

And while we’re at it, after starting strong with “Horse With No Name”, and following it up with the likes of “Ventura Highway”, “Tin Man”, and “Sister Golden Hair”, it’s a shame that the same group hasn’t had an actual hit since 1982 (“You Can Do Magic”, itself a comedown after those earlier groundbreakers).

So I say we need to make America great again!

Several years ago, I went to an evening concert by The Police at Jones Beach, NY. There was a bus to the concert that also picked up people returning from a day at the beach. The bus was crowded with concert-goers. A young girl returning from the beach got on, saw the crowd, and asked “Who’s appearing?” Someone said, “The Police.” She then replied, “Why, are they expecting trouble?”

Gotta disagree with Pig here. I love almost all of The Police’s songs. Sting has had a good solo career too.

Love the conversation. If all conversations were ultimately about bands, I wouldn’t spend so much time avoiding people.

I don’t approve of cops shooting for no reason, but locally one shot a guy trying to run him down and HE is in trouble for doing so. People say that was no reason. Why be a cop?

I dunno, Sting was pretty unhappy about his last album sales.

Goat is a little late to the realization that everything is politics if there are people involved. There is no such thing as an activity that doesn’t have a political aspect to it.

Only a filthy Communist would call the Police “bad”. And I, too, hate how everything is politicized now.

I disagree wholeheartedly with Pig. Everything the Police put out as a group stands up nicely over time, unlike many of the bigger “hits” of that era…

Roxanne is an awful song but still better than the rest of their garbage.

Pig is in reality a genius who intentionally makes these comments with the purpose of causing people around him to underestimate him. Then when the time is right…MWAHAHAAHahahahahaha….

To avoid their sting always consider the police armed & potentially dangerous, possibly PTSD. No sudden movements, drop whatever you’re holding, keep your hands in plain sight. Admit nothing but be polite.

Pig gives new meaning to “ham bone.” I didn’t know that it was a synonym for a pig’s brain.

I am sorry, mr. pastis, but how are the police NOT political? They are created and funded through public policy to provide accountability for a large set of laws. So even put aside how it is implemented, it is inherently political. Yes, I get it is a play on words, but when the build up is so patently ignorant, it is kind of distracting.

You know my mind is made up! So put away your make-UUUUUP!

Let’s disarm the police. We sure wouldn’t want any criminals to feel threatened or get hurt. Surely this would make for a much better society?

Pig approaches the world the way we all should…with music on our minds. The world’s a better place with it!

I don’t see The Police as being overall bad as Pig seems to. However, I am with Pig in regarding “Roxanne” as a really great song. It’s my favorite song of theirs and, for those old enough to understand the reference, I had it on a 45.

Not arming Sting is a good thing for both his safety and the safety of others.

A prime example of Pig’s lack of intelligence

Pig may have started the day a little bit separated from Reality (I know, “vastly over-rated”), but he is certainly right about Sting!
