Or it could be replaced by a worse monster. Many of us thought talk radio was pretty horrible until social media came along.

There have been some interesting things written on the effects of social media and technological communication overall. The human brain evolved to search out and take various stimuli as acutely as possible. As technology has evolved so much stimuli comes in that we literally crave it. Also makes it diffcult to sort out, and we seek those stimuli which please us. It literally comes down to too much information.

Social media has been with humanity for eons. Just a bit slower. Quite a bit. But just as crazy at times. Humanity is crazy at times, and prone to buying into and spreading lies. Always been that way. Just quicker about it now.

I for one, appreciate all the accurate and politically unbiased information I am able to glean from social media. And thank goodness their creators make sure to keep them strictly apolitical and offer fair and equal representation for everyone! (If you’re done laughing, be sure to give me a “like.”)

Commenting here is social media. You don’t need Facebook or Twitter. Under another cartoon, we were discussing the great comment places and the ones to avoid because of the toxic environment. Some are like a coffee klatch where we meet each day. I won’t mention any names because the last time I did the trolls crept in for a while.

The book version monster was actually very articulate and intelligent, and only really hated Victor Frankenstein for creating him. But the comic is still funny anyway. 9/10 would read again.

Frankenstein’s Monster gets a lot of bad press, but really he was just misunderstood and accident-prone (throwing sweet little Maria into the lake and expecting her to float, for example). On the other hand, Cartoon-Boy’s Monster is evil at heart. —Not unlike Social Media….
