Well the reason for the Blah Blah Blah Blah is some folks don’t know how to do short and sweet ;-)

The first time I laughed out loud at a comic in a long time!

Todays comic is just great because Roscoe is in three frames and that is what makes it so special . Here , let me help some of you , in frame two he is curious , then in frame four he is reading the note and the sixth frame he is " just wonderful " thanks to Brian for todays comic .

Dial tones, busy signals, phone cords, information, time and temperature, 0 for the operator, party lines, calling a neighbor to see if they would run next door and have my Bride call me because the kids were on the computer and was using the phone line. Dial up. This has all took place in my lifetime. What did I miss, We’ve came a long way baby!!!

Oy! Earl can’t be bothered with anything that has anything to do with Opal.

He never wrote them down, but my Dad would come up with some dandies, he “heard” it his later years.

I giver Earl credit for telling her about the call. My friend called one day while I was gone. Later, she called again and asked if I’d gotten the message from my husband. No, I said.

So, I asked if anybody called while I was out. No, he said. You sure? Yes, he said. Not even Sue? No, he said. I asked one more time if anyone called. Oh, yeah, Sue called. I told him to just let the machine pick it up from then on.

This one is so early 20th century - “Hello, Central!.”

Well, she’s the one who made the mistake of telling him something.

That’s all I hear when I listen to a political speech from either party.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that takes notes like Earl

I have a friend that when he is on the phone he can drone on and on. One day I was tired and tried to be patient with him. But because I was fatigued I basically tuned him out. But he caught me off guard when he said, “Are you listening? What have I been telling you?” Busted!
