At least they still have to protect themselves from COVID with the face mask, even if they live to be the late Betty White’s age of 99 going on 100 or not.
There are still a lot of folks around who have yet to parse out just what “Over the nose is where it goes” means but they are definitely from the same crowd that would do the same with their undergarments, and get they would all get exactly the same reaction and every single time too – mainly many an awfully loud “Eeeeewwww!!!” and the sound of folks retching.
I’m pleased to see that down in my neck of the woods, wearing facial masks has become not only a fashion statement but amongst teenagers, it’s become the cool thing to wear one all the time. I asked my granddaughter why and she told me it not only does it make you look mysterious ( her word ) but adults can’t tell what you’re thinking… lol!
Just to be serious for a quick minute, cloth masks alone are not going to do much good against Omicron. If you are attached to a fabric mask, just add a second mask out of the proper material, like the kind staff wears in the hospital. If your nose isn’t covered, you aren’t wearing a mask. If half your nose isn’t covered, you aren’t wearing a mask. Don’t take your mask off in the hospital to talk to me because you are happy to see my therapy dog. Keep your hands off your mask and if it gets wet, change it to a dry one. Omicron is much more contagious than previous variants. I generally wear a 3M N95 with the elastic straps that hold it on by going across the back of the head. Absolutely do not go into a bathroom to remove your mask for some fresh air. Go outside for fresh air, away from other people. OK, carry on! Some of these comments are really funny!
I think this is the first time Brian Crane has brought the Covid pandemic into his comic. Its fitting. This raging pandemic is going to go on for years.
