Well, plugger friends, the time has come

To open the fridge and have some fun

Throw away the worries about calories- turn it to none

Let the hunger rage on (rage on, rage on, rage on…)

    Everybody gulp, everybody munch

Lose yourself in things that crunch

We’re going to eat Pastries, Tiramisu, Pizza, forever

    Come on and eat along!

We’re going to eat Pastries, Tiramisu, Pizza, forever

    Come on and feed along!

All night long (all night), All night (all night)

    (With apologies to Lionel Richie)

I act like that. Pluggers are worst at midnight. Plus I’m a night owl, like right now.

There is also the “Pig Out” Wand my sister gave me a few years ago. Wave it over your plate and the calories disappear! (LOLOLOLOL!!)

The cookies you eat during Coffee Hour after church don’t have any calories, either.

The food that you eat when the family is not looking has no calories.

I find it leaves heartburn when consumed at midnight so have taken to snacking a couple of hours earlier.

Anything you eat while standing up has no calories either.

He may be mistaking the clock display on 24 hour setting for his calorie counter.

Actually, Cathy Guisewite gets the credit for this. Her comic persona has long advocated that calories consumed on special occasions such as Christmas and Thanksgiving don’t count which can be a comforting thought as we chow down on those ‘excluded’ days.

If there’s no label, there are no calories, carbs, etc.

We are not morning people – husband has never even been able to stomach food on wakening. Unfortunately since we are mostly retired and both work from home during the last two years we have gotten worse. Wake up in early afternoon and have lunch around 3 pm.

Dinner follows at 8 pm (our normal time for same even before covid).

Then at around 2 am – maybe 3 – we have our third meal of the day – “late night snack” which is a combination of breakfast – cereal – and snack – ice cream or a snack cake each (sometimes I make pudding or there is leftover snack/dessert from a holiday meal) after which I do the dishes (for the third time of the day) and go to bed.

    Works for us.
