It’s a good thing he has her. That suit looks hideous.

The green blazer and slacks are fine, but change the shirt to white and the tie to green or black. Hopefully, he has proper footwear.

He’s had that suit since 1972. It’ll come back in style one day.

You don’t always know quite what you’re wearing until you can pass inspection (the fashion consultant) – especially if you’re going out where others will be able to see you. And even more especially if those who will see you are people your fashion consultant knows.

Haven’t worn a suit since 1985. Nice thing about being in IT back then.

It seems odd that men, who ignore their own appearance, are often extremely critical of and/or focused on women’s appearance.

I don’t own a suit, tie, dress shoes or a sport coat. If one is required, I’m out of luck. Jeans and a T-shirt for me.

Are we talking about the suit, the tie or the shirt. Wife needs to be specific here. My wife is and in no uncertain words. “(Complete name), you’re not leaving this house in that (insert article of clothing)!”

are you kidding me that outfit looks awful, it clearly needs a bright pink hawaiian shirt not a purple and black pinstripe, sheesh,

Hubby hasn’t worn a suit since my mother’s funeral – in 2011. And even then, he had to ask my BIL to fix his necktie. Sometime after that, a former co-worker died, and we went to the viewing. Hubby came downstairs wearing a polo shirt with a hole in the back. When I started to call him on it, he snapped at me – a VERY unusual thing! – so I let it go. When he took it off later to put in the wash, he discovered the tear and asked me why I hadn’t said anything. I gave him The Look, and he whispered “Oh”, and walked away.

No, silly bear. You should have your ugly Christmas Sweater under the jacket. And where’s your ‘good’ cap?

He looks like a colorblind goon in a ’30s gangster movie. Thank goodness they were in black and white.

We both wear jeans daily. He wears button shirts and I wear tee shirts – I even have dress tee shirts. When, if, we get invited something dressy – or a funearal it will be a question of taking out his old jackets/trousers from work and seeing which ones are the least problem in fitting. I will pull out one of my 3 skirts and find a blouse that I wore to work to fit it. If terribly formal I do own a long black skirt.
