My mom worked at Broadway one year doing Christmas wrapping. Taught me how to do it, and everyone thinks I’m a whiz. Ain’t no big deal ! Even a cave man could do it!
Thai tomorrow. We’ll meet my wife’s “kids” and ex-MIL for lunch at Buathong. It’s a bit of a drive for us, but we’ve been going to Buathong since they opened 14 years ago.
I’ll be up at 4:30 AM, same as every moring and putter around the house. Might work in my woodshop for a while. Can’t watch any NFL foorball because both games are on Netflix – thank you very much NFL! Will have to watch the College Bowl games I guess. Good match-ups are doubtful.
Plugger spouses know better. They start their holiday shopping early — sometimes very early — whenever they get ideas for special things for family and friends. Part of the fun of gift-giving is observing and figuring out what a person may want or need before they “make a list”.
I havent been in a department store in years, do they have gift wrapping at all? Im pretty sure free gift boxes have gone the way of the dodo bird too.
my wife mailed off some stuff this morning (which doesn’t hafta get there anytime soon), an’ I suggested (as a joke) to tell the PO folks that it needs to get there this afternoon. She values life and limb, so she passed…lol!
People should get to be jolly around the holidays, no matter how it is celebrated. Whether you go big or go small it is an excuse to enjoy things for the sake of it.
My daughter makes it easy. She buys what she wants and asks me to wrap it for her. Even buys the paper she likes. She is on the autism spectrum and does NOT like surprises, so this makes for a happy Christmas for both of us. We do the same for her birthday. Since she is 41, and mostly independent, we have discussed in detail why this works best.

I see a gift there with a cord. Gifts with cords can only be given to your wife if you have permission.

I worked as a professional Santa this year. I was so busy that I did not have an opportunity to do Christmas cards or Christmas shopping yet.

My wife is easy to shop for. She tells me what I am going to get her and she goes out and buys it.

Free boxes and wrapping are highly endangered, if not extinct in the retail world.
