    Once while I was gently tapping, rapping on a chamber door,

    Suddenly I spied an author, more morose than Geoffrey Chaucer,

    Sitting just above the floor.

    To think if I did only know it, this macabre and twisted poet,

    Had a plan to turn my name to something people would abhor;

    With no way to ’eer reprieve ill-crafted fame as something evil—

    Doomed to inauspicious lore; happy as a lark no more!

    Maybe they can recognize people and hold grudges, but they have a very small vocabulary.

    On the Blackfoot reservation there was a man named Crow Talker. He got the name because crows always hung around him. When he was working on a motorcycle or something and he dropped a shiny lug nut, one of the crows would fly down, pick it up and give it back to him instead of stealing it. Same for shiny sockets. They also appeared to talk to him. A crow would fly up and squawk and cackle at him then he’d say “someone coming up the road” and five minutes later, someone arrived who was totally out of sight behind the hill when he said it. When he rode his motorcycle around the crows would follow him and take turns sitting on his shoulders and riding for a bit. The crows also told him where the game was when he was hunting and he always gave them a portion of the carcass as a reward. In the summer he’d make his garden hose spray so the crows could get a bath and cool off. They never crapped on his truck or motorcycle. They also told him when bad weather was coming even if the sky was clear at the time.

    “You gave me a false location for the Marble Bath. Nevermore!”

    The Orange raven can’t recognize faces (e.g., “that woman in Michigan”), but can never forget a grudge, especially imaginary.

    If the crow or the raven can aim that becomes more concerning!

    I don’t get it. Because it was mapped in the wrong location… did they turn it into a bathtub with marbles? did they put a bathtub with marbles in the wrong location to make people think they were in the right one?

    The crow/human study was amazing. We find it even more true for the smarter Ravens amd boy do they have a large vocabulary!

    In one study of human face recognition, researchers wore a mask when bothering the crows. The crows raised an alert when someone wearing the mask was in the area, even when a different person was wearing the mask. When a researcher put the mask on upside-down, a crow flew by doing a barrel-roll.

    So, wait, is RBION claiming that Edgar Allan Poe’s mysterious death was caused by offended crows?

    Ripley’s does a great job with their features. Unfortunately, today’s drawing of the rainbow eucalyptus tree failed to show the true incredible rainbow colors. I urge everyone to do a Google image search to see how amazing they can be.

    ALL animals can hold grudges, and yes I have worked with both people and animals.

    I usually look for the notoriously missing Sunday fourth panel, however today my search methods can neither confirm or deny it’s existence.
