If he’s wrong all the time, why did he choose her?

Stock market analysts are really good at telling you why the market did something… Picking the stock of the future? They’d all be retired multi-millionaires if they could do that… But people still buy stocks on their advice.

How can he ever be wrong? If there’s a 5% chance of rain, and it rains, it fits with the prediction.

Someone who is wrong all the time can be incredibly useful.

It’s said that if you state that tomorrow will be similar to today, you’ll be right 3 times out of 4, so still better odds than a forecaster.

One of few jobs where you can be wrong over and over and not get fired.

How do you know weather he’s wrong?

He studies meteors?

A.I. is proving to be far better at predicting the weather than humans. Surprise surprise.

All that matters is weather, or not, you like him.

One thing I’ve noticed about this strip—when someone makes a comment as above, the other character’s response is nearly always a bug-eyed look of astonishment. Why not a smothered giggle sometime, or a knowing grin?

Ever notice that the weatherman is the one to report on the earthquakes, since nobody knows what’s coming next after an earthquake and the weatherman has that song & dance figured out all ready- “We’ll Jim there may be some aftershocks soon or maybe even another big one!”
