Yes, but how is her reading comprehension?

Burt Ward earned the title of the world’s fastest reader while in high school reading 30,000 words per minute with 90% comprehension as tested by The American Medical Society of Beverly Hills.

She’s very into “litter”ature.

That horrible mistreatment of books undercuts any humor in this panel.

I don’t see how anyone who reads fast (like that) can truly appreciate and get (feel) the joy (or humor or sadness or … ) that is in a book.

I’m fast, but not that fast!

I’ve got news for you.

For some reason that reminds me of the old Windows screen saver.

But she has a comprehension level of ZERO!

I know a chihuahua named Duke. He’s a speed eater. Home from the restaurant, piece of this or that, it’s gone. If we forget, he gets a piece of carrot. It’s gone. He loves it. He doesn’t care!

She can’t do any chores, she’s booked now.

I actually know someone who is as close to her as you can get in real life. He still enjoys the books, it’s just he reads very fast. I’m a fast reader but he puts me in the dust.

Until she hits a Speed Bump …

Where’s the enjoyment?

She should stop fasting; the cookbooks are getting her angry.

The books in the air remind me of “The Fantastic Flying Books of Morris Lessmore”. Look it up on Youtube.

She looks more like a No reader to me.
