Learning young.

I roomed with an Astronomy grad student. It turns they almost always open up the dome completely when observing because as shown with just a slot the difference in heat between inside and outside causes an upward draft around the telescope, distorting the image. You have to bundle up if you’re going to do the observing in person. It’s usually done with cameras or other instruments while the human stay indoors.

Now I really want to get glow in the dark stars for the bedroom ceiling.

I bought an early version of a star projector for my youngest. I rigged it with a photo sensitive switch and it would turn on when he put his lights out. He still has it.
