Yes, it would be a dream if there were liberals pretending to be conservatives in the Republican party the way there are so many conservatives in the Democratic party.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way. The minority of wealthy elites have a majority shareholder interest in the US government; they own 100% of Republicans, and some variable percentage of Democrats.
I get tired of the Soviet hammer-and-sickle imagery surrounding American socialists. They know full well that we’re not talking about Soviet Communism, were talking about policies that even conservatives support in the UK and Europe – wealth generated by private business but things that don’t respond well to market forces, like health care, handled by the government. You can talk about takeovers and choice being taken away but the truth is in Europe they spend half of what we do and get better outcomes, which is what we want, right?
While Ms. Cheney has stood up admirably to her own party with her participation on the Select Committee, Cheney still voted with Trump 92.9% of the time from 2017 – 2021. She did not vote to convict Trump on the 1st impeachment charge nor did she vote against his SC appointees. She’s no panacea for this nation.
I’ve never understood how people like Cheney, Powell, and McCain qualify as moderates.
Maybe anybody who doesn’t want to burn down the entire country, plow salt into all the fields, and put all the children to the sword is a “moderate” these days.
Liz Cheney a “moderate” Even in quotation marks that’s pretty funny stuff. At least on this one issue, Rep. Cheney’s integrity seems to be intact and that’s about as far as I go.
So, agreeing with someone who shares your values is now called sucking up! And voting for someone who wants to be like Sweden is going to turn you into the USSR!
Living in FL I’m considering changing my voter registration to GOP just so I can have an influence on who might win in November. Gotta give Limbaugh credit for a good idea.
I rather think we are more in danger of a Republican being a puppet of Putin. I am having trouble telling the difference from you and Michael Ramirez, Rall

There are loons on both sides….some want to give away the store and some want to steal our freedoms and democracy……take your pick.

Does anyone seriously think of Sanders as a Socialist? I mean, know he calls himself one (or he used to), but seriously?

Moderate sure has changed in the last 40 years. By today’s standard, Reagan would probably be considered a RINO.

Cheney is not a ‘Moderate’, she is a neo-conservative. She is nowhere near what John McCain was, a conservative, or Colin Powell is, a Moderate.
Keep in mind, while “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”, “keep friends close and keep enemies closer”
