Brutus just flashed back to the day he found out about Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

So the Walmart bakery, then.

Store bought never. Bakery sometimes but my wife still makes the best pies!

Brutus is suddenly rethinking his childhood memories.

I didn’t think the cardboard pie crust company was still in business!

My momma used to bake the frozen pies from Morton Foods, who also made Morton TV dinners. Now, its Banquet dinners and occasionally I like to buy Sam’s Club deep dish apply pie to bake. Man, now those pies are better than what mom used to make.

I like vanilla ice cream with apple pie.

A simple yes would have sufficed.

and thus the magic fades… but it tastes good at least.

Well another cherished childhood memory bites the dust.

Oh No. The Cat’s outta the bag. My wife when we were dating made some cookies and I told her that they’re just like the ones from the bakery. I have paid for what I considered a compliment at the time ever since and she never made those same cookies ever again……

I’ve never claimed to have cooked or baked something when I didn’t. Duncan Hines makes better cake mix than I ever could. So, when I give people cake or cupcakes, I tell them that they can thank Duncan Hines for them. Why would I lie, especially when I’d have to worry about someone asking for the recipe?

My Grand-Daughter just bought her wedding gown from the same place her Mom did almost 30 years ago!

mom made great apple pies. i still don’t like them to this day (i preferred her blueberry or pumpkin pies, yum)…
