It happens to me too: when I speak my family either doesn’t listen or does exactly the opposite.

I only talk to myself when I want an intelligent conversation.

I talk to my cats which is almost the same. Sometimes I answer back for them, too.

I not speaking to myself right now. I’ve had a mental disagreement with myself. Agreeing to disagree just ain’t working.

I was cured of talking to myself. It began with some kind gentlemen who brought me a jacket with extra long sleeves.

I like Gandalf’s excuse from The Two Towers, something to the effect (since I can’t remember the exact quote) that, “The old look for the wisest around to talk to and it’s usually themselves.”

I’m the same way actually… :J

You know what they say: The first sign of madness is talking to yourself. The second sign is answering back and the third sign is arguing about the answer.

Do I ever talk to myself? Who’s asking?

And sometimes, it’s the only way to have an intelligent conversation.

Sometimes, talking to myself is anything BUT intelligent.

It’s okay to talk to yourself, it’s even okay if you answer yourself. But you’re in trouble if you start saying, Huh?

I talk to myself also. But myself don’t even listen. I “dood” it anyway.

It’s weird that if you’re talking to yourself you’ll find electronic devices like Alexa and even my Apple Watch is listening. I need to keep my thoughts quiet

Again, why not? It helps one to think more clearly about life’s issues. You can analyze situations without any arguments. And if one is totally honest about a problem plaguing them, they can usually figure out a solution. And if they can’t, then one knows that there is a need to consult others for assistance. However, always remember the quote, “To thine own self be true”……

Most of time I’m the only one around here, period. Who else is there to talk to? Besides, I’m so much smarter than the average wall.

No doubt questioning why you endure the travesties of work and relatives.

I miss the old days when someone who’s wandering around talking to themselves were plain loco, as opposed to nowadays when they have a Bluetooth in their ear.

I quit talking to myself after we got into an argument. I lost.

I tell people that talking to yourself is not crazy. I only worry when I lose arguments.

I remember a “Cheers” episode where (don’t remember the character’s name) was asked if she ever listens to herself. Her reply was “Sometimes”.

Some of the best conversations I’ve ever had happen when I talk to myself. On an unrelated note, I like Brutus’ choice of sweaters here.

It’s odd that I told myself just today that I need to stop thinking out loud.

“Well, talking to yourself isn’t so bad — as long as you don’t answer.”
