I hate being late. I would rather miss work than be one minute late.

I have to agree with the boss on this. Inventory is not just another day.

It is a shame the boss has to get up early to see who come in late.

It is logical. One can’t go back in time in order to be on time. Once something is in the past, it’s done. Unless you have a TARDIS…

Just maybe, the " boss" does need to hang with him more….who knows, he may soften a bit……

at least I’m trying. I turn on my alarm and I wake up after it stops blaring from two hours ago. :}

In the greatest metaphysical sense, you can’t get there until you do.

Sometimes it IS just easier to surrender. If he comes in late, have him work time and a half longer to make up for it. Only fair thing AND you can keep your sanity…….

Wow this one is mind blowing – I’m actually feeling empathy for Rancid! How does one deal with such unassailable illogic? Brutus needs a course in using the alarm app on his phone.

I love that Rancid’s desk is decorated by the two things nearest and dearest to him– money and a photo of himself!

Huh…I hadn’t really paid much attention to the picture on ‘ol Rancid’s desk before. It’s a picture of him. Why would I have thought otherwise? ;)

Makes sense to me. Perfectly good answer, as it seems to have gotten him off the hook. If, like Veeblefester, my understanding has to do with how long I’ve been around Brutus, I consider that a very good thing. (And it also helped that there’s a touch of Gracie Allen’s logic in Brutus’ explanation.)
