Argh, I am Spud! Whenever I experience a perfect moment it’s usually marred by ‘if only I didn’t need the toilet’ or ‘but my feet hurt’. Beautiful scenery, I love the psychedelic sky.
Babylon Five TV series. Londo Molari: "I went to see my Father & he was sitting in his darkened room crying. I asked him, “Why are you crying?” And he replied, “I am crying because my feet hurt, because my shoes are too small. But, that is okay, because I have forgotten how to dance!” Spud, sweetie, you are way far tooo young to forget how to dance!!!
Oh this is definitely sunrise for me (if it were sunset there would be more people out).
Wow, Will Henry, you got the light around the sun just right — I mean the white incandescent glow with the yellow sun in the middle. I have an afterimage just looking at it. Also I love the kids’ shadows: perfect detail. And the people walking on the beach. I guess Wallace and Spud have been up since 5:00 am, since it’s about 5:30 there now.
Give them to Sterling for a little bit then. Assuming they’re still intact by then, I’m sure they’ll be all stretched out and a little roomier by then.
Why do the rocks in the distance have Bunting/Pendants on them? Could there be an evil spirit bound to the rock and the protective wards are preventing its escape?
In talking about depictions of atmospheric effects in music, Peter Schickele pointed out that the sky flaunts its most spectacular colors just before sunrise and just after sunset, not while the bright light is above the horizon. The popping up of the blazing orb is treated as a climax, but actually the show is over then.

Looks like I’m the only one wondering where those hot air balloons are going to set down at sea.

I’d say sunrise because hot air balloons fly at sunrise when the air is cool.
