Anyone know what the white “X” in the lower right hand area is for? It’s in every comic and nothing happens after you click it and it disappears. Kinda creepy.
Many years ago two guys were taking a break from their job search and watching movies and reading comic books in the basement of one of their homes. One was sketching a figure based on the samurai movie they were watching at the time and showed it to his friend “Look a ninja turtle”. His friend was reading an X-Men comic and replied, “Make it a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.” He did and made a comic one shot and they decided to self publish. Got a loan from the father of one of the guys and had about 500 copies printed up. They distributed it to several comic book shops of which they were patrons. About a day later they got a call from one of the shops, “Got any more? We’ve sold out.” The rest is history.
There was an ad on the radio around the time the TMNTs were popular. I can’t remember what the ad was for, but at the very end a kid is asking his parent “Can we get ALL of the Turtles?” BTW, my son had the action figures of most of the various characters, but we never did get into the later additions such as “Swimming Leonardo”.
Once upon a time when TVs sound came on before the video, my sister got so excited because she heard her name, April. Mine is so common it was everywhere. She was rather upset after watching the commercials that it was TMNT.
Wiz would more likely have had a Lone Ranger lunch box and Tonto Thermos when he was young. (It would have some milk, a PB&J sandwich, potato chips, an apple, and a brownie, I imagine.)

Nice job, Wiz. Are you hiding, though?
It must be on the inside – because we can’t see it on the outside.

An anachronism in the Wizard’s youth and in his later years. Magical fantasy allows for anachronisms.

I remember the shows I used to watch on PBS Kids. I doubt I could recognize any PBS shows now, except for Sesame Street.

You know, I can afford Twinkies whenever I want them, but I never buy them and yet I do get excited when someone gives me one. Not sorry.
