The primate method is equally successful, that is chest beating, branch shaking and poo throwing. Not to mention bellowing, which is usually the first step.

Usually the IP address is FUBAR due to the router reseting or it’s out of paper.

I have two printers. So far they compete with each other to please me, rather than conspiring against me.

I hate when it just sits there and says, “Nah, I’m not printing that!”

Printer? What is that you speak of. Photocopier even harder to find. Now these things are called MFD but should just be called space wasters.

I’m trying to remember the last time I had to print out anything. I work from home and actually had IT strip the drivers off my laptop because the updates were annoying and I had not printed anything in over 5 years!! The only reason we have a printer at home is because it’s an all-in-one with a scanner that we use to store copies of what used to be “paperwork” before we shred it.

Use the solid-state television of the 1960s method. A well-placed fist to the side of printer. Think of Fonzie and the jukebox.

It is usually the cheap low body recycled paper purchasing bought through a telephone sales scammer. I paid the extra buck a reem and never had printer problems.

First reboot your router and printer. When that doesn’t work, call the printer service company. If the printer doesn’t work, they don’t get paid.

I had a strange occurrence a few days ago wherein I used the scanner function with no difficulty. Then about 15 minutes later I wanted to print something and the printer told me that is was not connected but the computer said that it was. I tried the old “Reset by turning it off and then on again”. No problems. But it is getting older and I just might start looking for a replacement.

Used to work at a Fortune 500 company that had its own IT department. If anybody had printer (or any other computer) problems all they had to do was call, and we’d have a tech there to fix it within fifteen minutes.

But then the company decided to “save money” and outsourced its IT functions, and laid off all of the techs. So when people had problems only a ticket was logged, and after there were twenty or more tickets piled up the contractor would send one tech – usually took at least a week, two if parts were needed…

A lot of frustration and lost productivity due to “saving money”… eventually the company tried to hire back some of its former techs, but they’d found other jobs (and the company had gotten a reputation as a bad place to work) so it had difficulties…
